Project Overview
Yacht Electrical Services was commissioned to perform a targeted electrical upgrade aboard a 45-metre luxury sailing yacht built in 2011. The project combined modern power management integration, custom remote control system engineering, and sailing performance enhancements through the installation of new Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for the Genoa sheet captive winches.

New DEIF Power Management System (PMS)
- Design and installation of a new DEIF PMS tailored to the yacht’s existing generator and power distribution setup
- System integration to ensure seamless operation with onboard electrical infrastructure
- Testing and commissioning for classification and reliability
- Full engineering review of the existing tender pole system and related drawings
- Removal of the legacy tender pole remote unit
- Supply and installation of a new remote control system designed for ease of use and reliable communication
- Provision of a spare remote control, pre-configured and tested
- Supply and installation of new Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) dedicated to the Genoa sheet captive winch system
- Enhanced sail trimming control, energy efficiency, and reduced mechanical stress
- Commissioning and integration with existing sail control PLCs and helm stations
